Your race entry include: camping fee, technical marathon shirt and custom-made race medal.

The Shompole Wildlife Marathon will always be held on the weekend of 18th and 19th March 2017. The races will take place on the Sunday, i.e 19th March 2016

There are 3 different adult events to choose from and one kids event. 30km Trail Run 20km Trail Run 10km.

The 10km fun run/walk is open to all ages above 14 years. To participate in the 20km Trail Run you must be aged 16 years or older on race day and to participate in the 30km you must be 18 years or older on race day. Exceptions may apply so please contact us at info@shompolewildlifemarathon.com if you require any further information.

The 10k,20k and 30k will all start at 6:10am on Sunday 19th March 2017.

Yes, Magadi Club will be offering catering services + bar at the event venue, a meal cost would be between 600-1000 and breakfast would cost between 350-500. Vegetarian meals will be provided as well

Once you have made your booking and the final payment has been made the booking cannot be transferred to another person or transferred to another year.

The race organizers will provide return transport from Nairobi to Shompole. The Outbound trips are as below:

INBOUND TRIP DEPARTS AT 11.30AM FOR ALL GROUPS ON SUNDAY 19TH MARCH AFTER THE RACE

If you are driving yourself to the venue, please refer to the Travel & Stay page for directions. It is however, important that you start your journey early so you can arrive at Shompole before dark. Your transfer to the race start has been included as part of your package. Our private coaches will pick you up from outside your hotel in plenty of time to ensure that you are at the start line ready for your event.
Your normal running gear will be fine for the event. It will be reasonably cold at start but the weather may prove to be quite warm as the race goes on, however. For those that are competing in the 30km, you will be able to discard unwanted clothing at the any of the aid stations as you pass by. All discarded clothing will be made available at Tog Bag area after the race. Be sure to mark all of your personal belongings so that you can easily reclaim them at the end of your event. Please note that whilst every effort will be made to return your discarded clothing, the Shompole Wildlife Marathon cannot guarantee that your items will be returned so we strongly suggest you do not wear your favorite clothes with the intention of reclaiming them later.
